There is certain sense of defeat when giving advice to others or youngsters more so when you feel that one has gone through enough mistakes and can make a compelling wise enough argument to articulate their learnings with a pointed features which can sure be drilled into the receptor. This is the methodology most of the authors use with varied examples and lucid examples which sort of make a dent in the readers or listeners mind once they are going through it. The same has happened to me since I have read through umpteen number of books and videos which offer advice on a platter which just needs to be followed!
And therein lies the rub, it just can't be followed like that. e.g. one can't just take a mediation or art of living course which sort of helps in one's mental wellbeing. One needs to feel that need to really try make sense of it. I can't just advise my sibling to go back to America once she has retuned due to a personal tragedy and feels emotionally inept to make any decision, just because I have observed other people going through the same experiences and learnt from it.
I feel one has to keep the learnings in mind and go through some experiential realization which thrust one to seek a path.
